Earth Snake 16" x 16" serigraph. Artwork by Emily Thiessen, created at C.R.A.F.T. studio in August 2025 using studio-produced inks including mixtures of madder from a spent dyebath, local lobster mushroom, mineral pigments incl local ochres and gifted minerals, and charcoal made from blackberry branches from around the studio. Printed on two colours of French paper. The edition was finished up at Wachiay Studio later in the year due to the Mount Underwood fire, 38 degrees C and the Valley filled with smoke. We included a photo for you to see, that's not a sunset, that's facing South, that is the fire. We figured out solar exposures with this print, in the smokey haze. Edition of 30. We will carefully choose a number for you. Some printer's proofs available upon request.
Proceeds from this edition are split 50/50 between Emily Thiessen and C.R.A.F.T./qʷicčiƛma, with 5% +.30 going to Shopify, which is why our pricing looks a little funny.
